Helping in our Community
We want to help make Memphis and the surrounding area a better place to live. By volunteering our time and efforts, we believe we can make a small step toward that goal.
Drake & Zeke Golf Tournament | National Arbor Day |
Elmwood Cemetary | Lakeland Elementary
1st Annual Drake & Zeke Golf Tournament
The tournament was held on October 15, 2010 at Memphis National Golf Course. It benefited the Memphis Police Foundation. Woodland Tree was able to give the Foundation a check for $15,000 that was raised through the golf tournament. The money will be used by the Foundation to expand the use and development of the Memphis police departments surveillance camera system linked in their RTCC Real Time Crime Center. This will help to keep citizens and tourists safe in the downtown district.
National Arbor Day - 2010
Britt Hubbard and Emil Peter participated in the Tennessee Arbor Day at the Agri-center in March. They explained the proper way to plant trees, how to use mulch properly, the importance of “right tree, right site”, the importance of trees and how they benefit our communities, as well as other tree related information.
Elmwood Cemetary- November 2009
Woodland Tree joined with two other tree service firms in November 2009 at Elmwood Cemetery to prune, take out and support hazardous trees during a day of caring for the trees. Elmwood Cemetary is on the National Register of Historic Places. Veterans of every Amercian war are buried there along with senators, governors and mayors.

Lakeland Elementary - April 2008
One of our certified arborist, Jason Brooks, along with some our staff volunteered on a couple of projects for Lakeland Elementary in April 2008:
• Planted 16 loblolly pines around the school campus.

• Celebrated Arbor Day 2008 with the students by planting a red maple tree.
